Read the full text of the UN Declaration of Human Rights to which Iran is a signatory (1948). Although the Islamic Republic of Iran has frequently criticized the document as being secular and not including the religious and cultural aspects of Islam. IRI is a signatory to the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights which is based on Shariah.
